| A new place for paranormal groups and investigators around the country to call home. The Transcontinental Paranormal Society was formed to give up and coming paranormal groups from around the country a place to interact, share ideas, and support each other in their efforts. The paranormal industry has blossomed into a full on movement the last few years thanks to the efforts of The Atlantic Paranormal Society and their show "Ghost Hunters" on the Sci-Fi network. Many groups have been started around the country in search for ghosts, paranormal phenomenon, and explanations as to why. Along with the overwhelming growth in the field of paranormal investigation comes the fact that groups are struggling to investigate places that may have already been investigated by other groups. TCPS hopes to bring some of these groups together under one umbrella to help share resources, hot spots for investigating, and personnel to give more groups opportunities in more areas across the country. Of course to achieve the ultimate goal it will take some soul searching (pardon the pun). Some groups may be forced to put their pride and selfishness aside to benefit not only themselves but to improve the field of paranormal research for years to come. The Transcontinental Paranormal Society was not formed as an attempt to "power grab". TCPS is whole heartedly dedicated to improving and growing the paranormal research field. Unlike other commendable societies around the country we are going to allow up to five groups in each state to join the TCPS family. It just makes sense to have more groups in one state as part of the team to have more attainable resources closer at hand. Some of the bigger states may be allowed up to eight groups depending on distance between areas represented. The Transcontinental Paranormal Society is a not for profit group. The greatest payment to us is a better understanding of the paranormal and a more unified approach to achieve that understanding.
